The lab is going to San Francisco! Four abstracts were accepted for presentation at the International Conference for Music Perception and Cognition (ICMPC) in July.
New student members have joined the lab, and the first projects have started! Watch this space for updates.
Our paper on visualization of speech sounds for computerized speech therapy was just accepted for publication at the Psychonomic Bulletin & Review. It is coauthored with Makiko Sadakata, Lilian Beijer, Toni Rietveld and Wiel Seuskens and is available here.
I have started a new position as assistant professor at the Dept of Health, Medical and Neuropsychology at Leiden University.
My theoretical paper on the application of the predictive processing framework to music cognition, and specifically imagery, is now published in Empirical Musicology review, available here, together with two commentaries.
A paper written with Katie Overy, entitled ‘Motor responses to a steady beat’, was accepted for publication at the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, and is now available here.
My review paper on the uses of auditory cueing for movement rehabilitation, part of the theme issue of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B, entitled“Communicative rhythms in brain and behaviour”, is now available here.
Our fMRI paper entitled ‘Moving to music: Effects of heard and imagined musical cues on movement-related brain activity’ is accepted for publication at Frontiers of Human Neuroscience.
